Wow man - that's scary. I would see if it happens with the Sprint booster disconnected. From what I understand, the booster sort of amplifies voltages controlling the throttle, so perhaps the RF from the CB is enough to throw things off, if the noise is further amplified.

Yes.....try to remove the booster and see what happens. If it still does, then it probably means some RF from high swr is floating around the cab, and if it is, it will find the most susceptible place to attack. Tune the antenna again, and/or change ground locations.

Where are you getting power from. If you use the plug closest to the driver it is switched power. When I used this plug with a hand held and transmitted the gauges went nuts and lots of dings and lights. Using the power plug on the passenger side which goes directly to the battery I had no problems.

Just food for thought.

I would lose the sprint booster, if it ever fails you could have a Toyota on your hands. Putting something between your electronic throttle just is asking for trouble.

Chrysler spends a lot of money in testing of the electronics of these vehicles, and their software code and fault tree algorithm are based on this work. They do not test for stuff you add between the throttle and ECU. I would never do this with my knowledge of HIL test system and what goes into fault insertion testing.

I agree, other than he misspelled "lose".

One other thing that might help, keeping in mind that I don't know anything about the Sprint Booster. On my Cummins Dodge, I have an aftermarket power module located under the dash. When I would key up, the engine would sputter, near to the point of dying. After trying tons of things, I ended up incorporating toroidal choke cores in the wiring of the power module. Problem solved.

Try power and ground for the cb directly to the battery, could help
