I had this happen too, back when I had a Ripp SC, BUT, it had nothing to do with the Supercharger. Mine was my antenna mount that was grounded improperly...actually, At my external antenna mount, the positive side of the coax was grounding with the negative, and when I keyed the microphone, it shorted out and caused enough drain that it would sputter my engine. I am almost willing to bet (with someone elses money) that if you took a multi-meter at your antenna mount and touched both the positive and the negative, that you have continuity = bad.

Thanks for the input - noted in our tech guide.

Where is the CB getting power from? What are you grounded to?

I really doubt the RF from the CB is doing anything. This has to be a current / grounding issue.

wired straight to pos and neg on battery tried it with a seperate battery not conected to the jeep in anyway and it still did it i have narrowed it down to the coax or the antena mount.

Running the negative straight to the battery can cause a ground loop, but since you have the issue using a separate source not sure what to say. Make sure you antenna mount is grounded. Personally I would redo the negative lead, to a different point on the body (or other existing bolt) and watch your antenna cable/mount.

I have seen some crazy stuff with inductance from items that are not grounded well.

If you are using "FM" and "Upper and Lower" bands then you are running an "export" radio. Depending on the model you might be putting out 200 watts or more. No wonder you have RF getting into you wiring harness. Maybe a standard radio would fix your problem.

That's really not true. Running both the negative and positive wires directly to the battery is the best way to wire a CB. It's when you have multiple ground points that you start to create a ground loop.

its only putting 30watts outs, plus i tried it on another one i have that barely puts 5 watts out. When i hooked up my CB completly external nothing happend until i moved the antenna close to where the mount is now and by close i mean less then a 1/4 inch almost touching.
