Swr hardtop on and off.
I set up my cb with my hardtop off, and now that winter is starting to roll around and the top is going back on I want to know if I need to recalibrate my cb or is it good to go? Thanks in advance.

i maybe wrong ive heard that fiberglass is invisible to the radio waves. so i would say its not going to affect swr, i run a soft top in the summer and hard in the winter and have never had a problem.

That is correct. Unless your hardtop was metal it will have no bearing on SWR.
I run a 3' long FireFly with quick disconnect. JK is 2 door w/ hardtop. During Summer without hardtop and no SWR issues or re-tune required.

It wouldn't hurt to use the meter again after your hard top is installed. The SWR is affected by how well your antenna is grounded to the rest of the vehicle. This changes even if, for example, a door is open.

putting the spare tire back on after tuning was total havoc on my 2 meter firestik. totaly wont tune with the spare tire touching it. i was at 1:5 until the tire went back on. then the swr goes off the charts.
it didnt bother my cb firestik at all though., the spare tire touching didnt effect the cb band.....
