From my teraflex spare tire mount I removed and drilled a 1/4" hole In the rubber grommet just below the mount and ran the coax thru. Tight enough fit to be water tight but added some rtv for added security. Up into the gate and followed the existing brake light wires into the cab. Under carpet and up to the center console. There I removed the passenger side panel of the console and pulled the cup holders out which allowed me to run the coax and power to the bottom of the cup holders. I notched out the plastic a bit where coax and 12v wires came in so as not to damage wires. Solder on your PL259 at this point.
12V wiring:
Open passenger door and remove the plastic side of the dashboard that is revealed by opening the door. (vague I know... Best I could think to explain! Haha) this will reveal your fire wall.
From the cup holders I ran wires under the passenger seat, along side the door frame and up to the fire wall. There is a hole there about 1" dia filled with foam. Used a coat hanger to fish my hot wire thru there and directly to the battery. There is a 10mm bolt just below the hot wire hole. Ground to that.
I found some nice instructions for getting thru the firewall here:

Start around step #20 the rest is for wiring above the mirror.
Used some real strong 3M double sided adhesive (walmart) to attach the 29's mounting bracket to the back of the console to avoid drilling.
Mounted my mic to the passenger side of the center console storage door.
I don't take credit for any of these ideas! Took a couple of different set ups and made it work for mine. Hope you like man!

Ended up making my own overhead mount. Its a rectangle 31 inches long by 8 inches wide. it connects from the D ring on the windshield right above the rear view mirror and connects to the roll bar. At the roll bar end there is a 17longx3wide piece of flat stock steel that bolts into the roll bar. Im still working on wiring the coax and the power. Im still up in the air as wether or not to power off a fuse or run it straight to the battery. I will post pics of it when i get a chance.

Well seeing as how I started this thread, I guess I'd let ya'll know that I picked up the Cooltech gatemount kit with the 3' Firestick, just to find out that it wouldn't work with my new RR bumper and tire carrier. The top portion of the carrier runs right into the bracket and antenna. Not enough space between that and the gate. So for those that might be considering that option..
**the Rugged Ridge Tire Carrier will hit the bracket and not let you be able to close and lock it**
Luckily my buddy helping with the bumper install just happened to have the Teraflex mount not being used so he passed it my way and now its mounted to the back side of the carrier. Ironically the RR carrier hit that too when it was on the gate. Oh well. So if anyone wants a Cooltech gatemount bracket with the screws and spacers, shoot me a PM. with an offer.
