08 Manual Trans Mygig DVD Play
 

Just got back from the dealer-DVD player works. It only took 3 months. The service bulletin is #08-014-08 if anybody needs to inform their dealer.

So, to be clear, you have an '08 Manual transmission JK and MyGIG and you are able to play DVD's? :surprise:

would def like to know if this is true

my 08 Manual plays DVDs too, i just can't see anything on the screen. does this fix the viewing problem? if so, only in neutral w/parking brake, right?

Yes,mine is an 08 manual trans with Mygig. The service bulliten just came out like 4/4/08 to fix the DVD play with park brake on and in nuetral.

Yes...I just called my dealer, he looked up the TSB # and was like, yup i see it, you need it done? Boo Yah! Heading there on Friday to get it zapped. now, to see if he enables the video for me... hehe...

i have not even tried the dvd yet. i have an 08 6spd too. im going to test when i get home.

I have an '08 Unlimited Rubicon, Manual Trans. I just got the "DVD with e-brake" fixed from the dealer on Fri. afternoon.

They have a computer (not really a computer in the sense that most people are thinking of, but for lack of a better term) that connects to the port under the left driverside dash.

He was trying to charge me $50 bucks to unlock the DVD so it will play while driving. I told him that you can't do it from his 'computer'. He promised up and down that he could.

I told him if he could do it, I would give him $100 (I knew he couldn't).

He tried and a long message came up on his 'computer' saying all the resons why he couldn't.

I knew it.
