I bought the harness and mic kit, and it came with a CD in the kit. Do I need to use the CD? I got the vr to work, but haven't hooked up the mic yet.

This has to be one of the easiests and best mods on the JK. Bluetooth and hands free for 40 bucks and 30 minutes of work. Gotta love it!

I agree! Since 08 I've had the dreaded "U connect not available"! So nice to use it now!

I just called the dealership to try to order the part and they said I'd need the mic along with some sort of module. I asked them the price for them to install it and they said it would be $638!! Does anyone have any insight into what this module is? I have an '08 with the nav system.

I have an 08 with the Nav unit and this is the only part that you need to order:

Mic and Mic Harness Kit = Part# 82211743AB

It plugs directly into th back of the MyGig, to my knowledge no "module" is needed.

$638 for the install!?! It took us about 30 mins from start to finish....
