Default 2011 fog light swap to 55w H3 bulb

Found a kit from crappy tire, 4" 55w H3 off-road truck lamps. Read about the changes in 2010 to the fog lights going to pmx24 somthing and the plight of replacement bulbs and upgrades. These lights should fit, any thoughts? Being H3 bulbs they are cheap to replace and easy to upgrade to Phillips extreme. Anyone see any problems?

Maybe. Your OEM fogs are only 24 watt? And the new fogs / lights will be 55 watt? Good luck!

Subscribed, I'm also curious whether or not you can replace the fog lights with a different housing/bulb. The only thing I'm worried about is the wattage difference between the stock bulb and an h3. I wish there was a plug and play replacement because the stock fog lights suck!

Default Fogs

I also have the 2011 JKU and like everyone else, I hate my fogs. There is another thread that gives a great alternative and it does it on the cheap.

Yes, it is already at 5 pages, it is worth the read.

Looking forward to the pics as well. How long have you been running them with no problems?

H16 LED or HID will fit the 2010 and newer fogs.

Whats the price point for h16? I read about that, not a fan of hid/led yet because of the blue.......I was intrigued by the thread with using those pilot lights which I can't get here, plus guys like or hate the blue ring on those lights.. these would be an alternative to those. >..
