I'd say pull the console apart and take a look at the backside of the existing switch panel. That will at least give you an idea if you can use that area for aux switches.

Here are the night pics. I was actually expecting the LED to be brighter, but it's only a little brighter than the seatbelt warning light on the dash. Not bad at all...

i figured im going to go with hour the first pic i posted was. easy. and wouldnt have to worry about hitting it with my knee or anything. im 6'1". and my knee is around the speaker area when i get in and out.
i'm about to order the whole pod piece (2nd picture) does anyone know what the back side looks like? I dont have a rubi, so the sway bar button would be useless. hopefully i could use that as one of my switches? anyone know what the backside looks like? cause i wouldnt be able to drill in it since its already a button.

Also, these switches are not "lighted" when "ON"; because the device status indicator light is in the instrument cluster. They do have an illumination light on them to locate them when it's dark.
