I did this on my 08. Only thing that worries me is that I have a leak coming out between the two panels on the a-pillar and it runs over my switch. No corrosion so far. Works just fine.

If you don't already know, momentary means, you press the spring loaded switch once to trigger the relay (it locks with device on) and the switch returns to it's stand-by position; and you press the switch again to release the relay (device off) again, the switch returns to the stand-by position. So, the switch does not remain in "ON" or "OFF" position.
Also, these switches are not "lighted" when "ON"; because the device status indicator light is in the instrument cluster. They do have an illumination light on them to locate them when it's dark.
Hope this helps with your planning.
I'd like to put a switch here for fogs - I get needing the special relays and don't care so much about the indicator light. But where can I get factory-look switches to add to that pod?

Default Many Thanks

I've been looking for a solution to mount a couple of switches on my Rubicon for lights and this was just the ticket. I didn't want that aftermarket look of switch pods and your fix looks totally stock. Thanks again for sharing

Default A Pillar Switches

This was a great idea! I installed a blue switch for backup and a red switch for running lights.
