I wish they would have made the sub round so aftermarket subs could be swapped in with ease.
I have had mine over a year now, and it sounds better now that everything has broken in. Someone does make an aftermarket sub in that size, but you would have to run your own power to it, and not sure it would sound any better..

I have a Rockford 1000w amp I could feed it if I had a sub that could take it that would go in that spot.

My hope is that with the newer Alpine system, I'd just leave it all factory except for the sub.

But hey. Maybe the factory sub itself cuts the mustard!

For a factory system, it really sounds good. I plan on eventually going with an aftermarket head unit that will allow more audio control functions to fine tune everything.

I've have mine for almost a year now as well and I love the way it sounds. I'll admit that I have crappy hearing but my wife, who loves Five Finger Death Punch and just asked me if I wanted to go see Slipknot and Manson, raves about how it's one of the best stock stereos she's heard. Stereos have never been a selling point to me but it was in the JKU Willy's that had everything else I wanted and I'm happy it's there. Do I miss having that little extra storage? Sure, but it's like going back to a TJ in a way only better.
