Well. At 6000 miles my stereo won't read the discs when loading. A new one is under warrnty on order. The Dealer says i'm not the first one. And I thought Infinity made a good product.

 

I don't think Infinity has anything to do with the head unit itself-- just the amplifier & speakers in the 7-speaker upgrade package.

Sucks about your head unit having problems so soon though. Who IS the manufacturer of them?

 

I'm NOT 100% possitive but was told by a rep the head unit is by Alpine..........anyone know for sure ?

 

It's possible, but I doubt that. If it was an Alpine head unit I think DCX would advertise it as such. Like they do the Infinity sound system.

 

alpine made all the older units, including the NAV unit from the grandcherokees that people were swapping into their TJ's (the ones with the rounded corners) I'm not sure if they are doing these radios or not. the supplier code on the back of my single disc unit is 53956. maybe someone can compare.
