Amp wiring

Before I tear apart my dash, does the stock cd player have preamp out puts and remote wire for running an aftermarket amp??

No on both?

Can get turn on lead from the left hand cigarette lighter, but you'll need a converter to get output for aftermarket amps.

Thats what I figured, thanks. I just didnt want to tear it apart to look. I thought maybe since the higher models (mines a base) have an amp and sub maybe the preouts were there.

It's a data signal to the external OEM amps. When I did mine I used an Arc Audio SRI and pulled the amp turn on from under the steering wheel. Are you adding an amplifier for all of the speakers or just a subwoofer?

Just for a sub

You should be glad that you don't have the upgraded system! It's a pain sometimes to bypass if you want to upgrade to a better amp. I did all speakers on a 4 channel and a mono for the sub and the sound quality is amazing!
I did find that the factory deck does not put out a lot of power. I blew mine up trying to connect two amps lol just as a test lol I had an aftermarket double din going in regardless. You should think of upgrading your HU to aftermarket ,it makes the install 10times easier and you have more options later on down the trail! Just my 2 cents;)

I put an arc audio SRI and a 5 channel. Now it has most of the sound of an aftermarket setup but with all of the OEM uconnect stuff, satellite, USB, steering wheel controls.

Balls Deep I just upgraded from an RES 130 to a 430N RHB and have to say the sound is not so great. Did the SRI bypass what the HU sends to the stock speakers including stock sub? I am trying to figure out what to do next. Any thoughts on just upgrading all stock speakers including stock sub? How much difference will this make??
