Default Any reason i couldn't swap head units?

I've got a nicer HU in my 06 Chevy Silverado from when it's stock one crapped out. If I wanted to move it to my JK, is there any reason my stock 6 disc head unit in my 07 jk wouldn't work in my truck? I know it's a bit off topic, but figured the combined knowledge on here would have an answer. Thanks!!!

From what I have read I would say no. If you have the factory bose system...maybe. The 6 disc from jeep is not a powered unit. It runs completely off the amp. An after market 100 buck head unit connected to the bose amp would be a better sounding solution. I had an 03 z71, with after market HU made a marketable improvement.

Thanks stock. How would I know if I have an amp? I'm guessing I don't, bit if that's the only way a 6 disc runs maybe I do. It's an 07 X I just bought used. Speakers are stock, I know. I think they upgraded the deck from factory, but I wouldn't have guessed it has an amp of any kind.
