Default Backup camera not working

My backup camera stopped working. It's hooked up to come on when I engage reverse. Can anyone give me some tips on what to check for?

It's wired into your reverse lights. Find the wiring and make sure it's still got a good connection.

did you have your head unit tell it to turn on with a positive or negative switch? what head unit do you have? what type of connection did you use? what type of camera did you use? is it night vision with LED? (if so, do the led's still light up?

If you're using an aftermarket stereo, try turning on the reverse camera manually (most stereos will let you). If it works, your reverse wire is loose, or incorrect.

If not, check the power and ground on your camera. If you have a multimeter, meter the power wire with a chassis ground. You should get around 12.66v. If you don't, gently pull on the connection to verify it. If it is loose, re-do it with a military splice, tape and zip tie. Done!
