Just thought I would throw up a post about this as i just upgraded from the cheapest base model stereo you can get to a mygig w/ all infinity speakers.

The sound difference was night and day, the infinities sound 10 times better. I did some reading on this before and some people said the speakers are the same, they are not even close. The inifinities have a much bigger magnet and were much heavier than the stock paper speakers. Even the tweeters were different.

I will try and post up some pics of the 2 speakers side by side.

Anyone thinking about picking up a set of ininifites you wont be dissapointed if you go to a mygig with the infinity speaker set up. I did not run the stock amp either all power is coming from the head unit and it sounds great. Next step is figuring out what amp i want to get to power the infinity sub!!

 

I have a set of infinity speakers and an RES radio single cd with Uconnect button for sale if anyone is interested.

 

Stock speakers suck. You can't turn it up and have base without distortion. How am I suppose to embarrass my 11yr old daughter with this system!

lol if you ever get around to taking them out you will see why they suck, I have replaced ALOT of stock speakers and these were by far the worst I have ever seen! The infinities have alot more base, but are not as loud compaired to the stock ones, though if you turn the stock ones up they sound like crap anyway.

Anyone have any suggestions on an aftermarket amp for the stock woofer set up?
