Default Basic Radio Upgrade

Hey guys. I've got an 2012 JKUR with the basic factory radio installed. (No bluetooth. No phone controls.) I am wanting to upgrade to a oem touch screen radio. What do I need to get?

I do have Sirius radio.

Since you don't have Uconnect, your best option would be to get a MyGig 730N(RHR) or for a cheaper price, the previous generation MyGig RER. You can click on the link in my signature for the RHR install write up, where I have a list of the differences between the 2. Basically the RHR added BT streaming audio, and USB ports where you can plug in your iPod/USB stick and play music off of the them. The RER only allows you to plug in a USB stick and load music to the built in HDD.

It would probably be a good idea to read my install, to you get an understanding of the SAT and GPS Antenna stuff.

Here's the items you will need pending which direction you chose.

1. MyGig RHR (High Speed Can)
2. Combo Nav/Sat Antenna (Your current radio has a SAT Antenna but probably not the right "Combo" one needed for the radio.
3. Microphone Kit (This plugs into the center connector on the back of the radio and will all you to make hands free phone calls and use voice rec commands.

1. MyGig RER (High Speed Can)
2. Navi GPS Antenna
3. Microphone Kit

You can buy any aftermarket head unit you want. Then get a PAC harness to connect it to the OE system. You will loose the OE Sirius system. But you can get aftermarket Head units with Sirius too.
