Changing H/U on '09 what do I do to transfer Sirius subscription?
Ok, I finally received shipping info from my ebay purchase of an RER stereo to replace my RES unit. What do you do to transfer the Sirius subscription to the new radio? :dontknow2:
I have the ESN code for my old radio. |
If you call Sirius they will be able to transfer it for you no problem, they did it for me:yup:
|
Call them and wait on the phone forever, or set up your online account at Sirius.com and you can update it there. All you need is your account number, name, ESN for the old and new units...and you can be done in about 10 minutes including registration to their website if you haven't been there before.
|
How do you get the ESN on the RER stereo? I got a mailing from Sirius with my current radio ESN.

To avoid a license transfer fee inform Sirius that the original radio died and Chrysler replaced it with a new one under warranty..

Or.... When they tell you there is a service fee you can tell them "Fine, Cancel both of my subscriptions". Then there will be some appologizing on the other end of the phone and they will tell you that they will make an "exception" for you because you are a good customer. IDK if the fact that I've been with them since they started has anything to do with it but it worked like a charm for me. |
