D2 wiring Question.

So the bumper I bought (pictured below) uses the D2s. I installed them but I'm trying to figure out the best way to run the wiring from them to the battery and also the switch to turn them on. Any help would be great. Would do a search but I'm in my deer stand and service is crappy.

As far as the switch goes, there is a place through the fire wall on the drivers side. You just need to go through the foam. I ran a coat hanger from the drivers side through to the engine bay and pulled the switch wire back through. I mounted an a pillar rocker switch panel and put it there. Hope this helps a little.

It doesn't look plug in play. The connections are different and me being a complete idiot when it comes to electrical for a vehicle I don't want to splice wires. Especially on the expensive D2s and mess them up.

They should come with a full wiring harness that ties both together with power leads to the battery and three connectors to a switch. It comes with an in line fuse. If you are okay with their switch you can feed the wires through the drivers side firewall grommet as mentioned.
I bought carling Ventura switches from otrattw. If you have a newer JK there aren't a lot of good options for mounting a full size switch so I fabbed a six switch mount to fit the stock stereo location. If you don't need more than one or two switches there is room to the left of the dash above the speaker but you will have to cut plastic. I think you can cut the a pillar or header and fit a switch there too but the only aftermarket switch mounts I've seen are for before the interior remodel. Basically the wiring is 12v+ with an inline fuse through the switch to each light. Ground from the battery to each light. |

It's at the top drivers corner above the brake master cylinder on the 2012-13. Easy to find once you open the hood. Run a coat hanger through it and catch it inside behind the dash. The hardtop wiper wash and wiper motor wires run through it if you have a hard top. Should be empty if it came only with the soft top. I'd send a pic but my JK is in the shop. On a pre 2012 I believe it is on the passenger side.
