Default Dealer RER replacement questions

Hello all, I just returned from a visit to the dealer on my 2007 with MyGig. Due to an issue with the DVD player, the dealer is ordering a new RER radio and I have a couple of questions for anyone that may have had theirs changed:

1. Will the Sat radio ID change? this is a hassle for me because I have the lifetime subscription with limited ID changes, I am 99% sure the code will change

2. Will the replacement radion be 20G or are they all 30G now?

Thanks for all of the input

1. Yes, the Sirius ID will change, since it's built into the head unit itself. Be prepared to deal with this headache with Sirius, I had to as well. For warranty replacements, they use refurb units, so you'll probably not get another free year of Sirius, you'll just need to transfer your subscription over to the new radio.

2. Should be a 20G unit. As I mentioned, they order refurbs from the part number, so you'll get the same part number as what you have now.

Thanks for the quick reply, yes I have a lifetime subscription, so it is important to transfer over.

Having gone through a subscription transfer, it go a lot smoother if you notify them in advance.
I don't why it matters because only system is active at once, but they asked to do it in advance if I ever had to go through the process.
