Default Door chime

I have been searching and reading for hours how to de-activate the door chimes on my 2010 wrangler. All posts suggest unplugging the door harness ( i have power windows ), or it turns into a seatbelt de-activate code which dosnt bother me. If anybody could tell me a code ( assuming one dosnt exist ) or let me know what wire to pull out of the wire harness i would be greatly appreciative. As a hunter this chime can make the difference between eating and starving, you could save a life here

Default Go for it!

I have a 2011 JKU and wanted the ability to have the doors open and play the radio without the chime. I bit the bullet, opened up the instrument panel and removed the chime itself. "JK Door, seat-belt and lights chime volume decrease and removal" is the title of the instructions I used. Use the search and it will come up. I recommend this and couldn't be happier. My Jeep is silent. No door, seatbelt or lights on chime. Do it and good luck!

I couldnt thank you more for your help in this matter, the fix worked excellent and was fast and easy to do. My power windows work and no more dummy chime making that vein in my forehead throb.

Default Door chime

So glad you were able to take care of the situation! In hindsight it was easy to remove the instrument panel and put that little hockey puck out of its misery. But at the time, I was quite concerned that I was in over my head! The Jeep community on this forum is terrific. With detailed instructions and pictures, even a newbie like me could do it! Now if the weather would cooperate in CT, I am itching to get the top down and the doors off!
