I use this all day for taking doors off with alarm and power windows doors. I run 8 for my 4 door. They work fine, just connect and disconnect them a few times to make it easier.

 

Update

There was only one wire (green) spliced (poorly) into the door harness. Buddy had a disconnect that was insulated on both ends. After a little solder and cleaning up the poor splice the doors are off. No issues with the alarm yet. Will need to turn the sensitivity up on the alarm. I set the system, climbed into the cab and never set it off.
