Default Elasped time counter.

Mine keeps resetting back to zero by itself. Sometimes it does it when I reset the MPG counter. Anybody else notice this?

I have't noticed, but I don't think I've ever used this feature.

---hijack, sorry---

Do you happen to have a sound clip of your exhaust? I have that muffler and can't decide if I want to put it on or not.

When I first got my Jeep I accidentally re-set it, but once when I was towing my Jeep behind the Motorhome I left the key in "run" posisition and the battery went dead and the elap. time meter re-set to zero. It has never re-set on it's own though.

What's this elapsed time feature? It's part of the temp/comp., distance till empty, fuel consumption options, right? What is it's purpose?

So you can see how long it takes to to get somewhere. Am I the only one who has this problem?

Mine has a mind of it's own. Say I've been driving for 30 minutes; it'll say 1:30 or something.

I noticed mine resets when I reset the MPG as well. It didn't do it one time, but all other times it has done it.

I just got my JK last weekend, but so far this is what I know. I haven't reset mine, but its showing the elapsed time that the Jeep has been with the Key in the "ON" position. It is part of the temp/comp, mpg indicator, DTE, etc. The manual calls this the trip computer, and its on page 211 of the manual.
