Unhappy Factory Non-Infinity Stereo Problem

Today after driving for about 10 min my factory stereo started to cut out intermediately. I was listening on the fm and it kind of seemed like I was driving under power lines or a bridge or something. Power is there but intermediate silences that are brief less than 1 sec to about 2 sec. So after assuming that it was the fm band I put in a cd and same problem... I also tried turning the stereo off and on as well as powering off the Jeep and trying it again. I'm thinking it is some wiring problem so I am probably going to take it to the dealership but wanted to get some input first. Thanks in advance.
