Hey guys,

We've had an increase of car vandalism and theft recently. I absolutely hate aftermarket alarms but I'm going to install a Viper anyway . While I'm at it, I'm thinking about ditching my factory remote start system and using the Viper. Nothing really wrong with it besides poor range...can't start it at work.

My question, can I just simply unplug and install the new system? Or do I have to go to the stealership and have them disable it?
