Default Fog light install issue

Installed Body Armour front bumper and really missed the fog lights from the factory bumper so I bought some aftermarket lights to hookup to the original fog light wiring and they don't work? They will light up for a second then go off. Any help would be appreciated.

You will have to have your factory wiring activate a relay that will provide the power to your fogs. The smart fuse box does not like the load that it sees and is cutting the power.

First off welcome to the forum.....There are a lot of good posts RE: 2007 JK's with this issue. Try the search .. But as said in prior post you need a relay.
Hope this helps....

Works fine.

The guys running stadium lights need to, as pointed out above, use the factory circuit as a trigger for the relay in the stadium light kit.

I also replaced the factory bumper on my 2007 and miss my fog lights. What brand of fogs are you using? Are you happy with them?

I tried the search for lighting issues but couldn't find the answer. Can someone explain how or where I install the relay. Any help is really appreciated.

Do you know what the wattage of your new fog lights is? I installed the aftermarket 55w xenon delta lights in my bumper after both lenses cracked. I used all of the supplied wiring except for the switch. You can pull the white wire out of either fog lights and wire that to the switch wire. That way they will work with your factory switch.

The factory foglights were only 42 watts so that can create issues.

That link in this same section has a picture that should help you out. You would connect the two wire from your oem fogs to 85 and 86 to control the relay.
