Fog light question
Hi all, i am gona buy fog lights of a member here, but i have a question what do i need to make them work like stock. I want them to switch on from the turning signal lever. I have the lever that pops out and everything, but what else do i need other than the fogs? if i have the lever with the pop out does that mean i have all the wires and stuff? please need help as soon as possible.
For any lights to work, you need basically a switch(optional) a relay, wiring, and of course the lights.
I am assuming you got the light stalk assembly from Mopar? if so it should have what you need in it as well as the directions? I have not done a complete install of that stalk though, so i dunno what all would be involved in it.

Umm no i just had the lever from the beginning. Since i have a "sport" that comes with the fog lights in the back. So i wanted to see if theres a possibility that i have them fot the front too, but all i need is the lights. i searched around the forum, but there was no answer to my question. any help is wonderful.
Wow, this is a unique question. I have not delt with an export JK at all, much less one with rear fog lights? I was unaware they even came that way.
I would suggest getting under the front bumper to see if there are by chance connections there that are unused. On mine, there is a wire loom that goes across the rear of the bunper, and the two foglight sockets come out of that loom ( do not go hacking into those wires if you dont see plugs though as they are the EBS wiring )
I know there are some photos around here somewhere of that loom, I'll see if i can find some.
Edit: I found a few shots that show pieces of the loom in some bumper sawwp threads, but nothing that really shows the fog light receptacles. ~sorry

The wiring harness AFAIK comes with the foglight kit, i dont know a seperate number for it.
From the factory, the foglight wiring is an integral part of the main front harness. More than likely if it wasnt ordered that way, you wont have it (although you have rears so who knows?)
Adding foglights is easy, getting them to function on the factory stalk without factory wiring would be far more invloved than what i have gotten myself into. I do not know how that stalk is wired into the Jeep. If it controls the computer (ie feeds it an input, and it in turn powers the lights) i have nada clue how to do it.
If it is inline after the computer, then you would need to determive which output is hot when the fogs are turned on. That is more involved than i have information on to aid you, I do not have the factory schematics to even begin searching.
I had factory fogs, so i just used one of the power wires at the lights, as the trigger wire for my new relay.
Hopefully someone else can give you a hand with this.
