Front Camera Recommendation
I must add that I have been a passenger in a Gladiator Diesel Ruby with the front camera and I would say it allows a higher degree of safe solo wheeling as one can see rocks and obstacles way better and it sees if traffic is opposing at the brow of a steep hill over the top. Good idea. I believe you can get a camera that connects to a phone or iPad (or Android type) and do that with a dash mount. Probably need a washer on the lense to keep it clean. Might be the best bet and the most cost effective.

I have a motorcycle "DVR" type of a system on my JK.
It came with two little cameras, so I stuck one under my passenger side taillight, and the other one sitting on top of my winch control box.
I'm planning to get another one here soon, I want to mount a couple cameras on my roll bar facing to the sides.

I mounted mine just behind the front grille using one of the top compact cameras I had lying around for garage stuff. The image is sharp enough for tight trails, especially with a small screen mounted inside. I didn’t need anything fancy, and it worked great with my head unit. Ran the wire under the hood and through the firewall grommet, no drilling needed.
