Default Front right speaker blew

As u can read, my front right factory speaker blew. I'm thinking about going ahead and replacing all the speakers. Anyone have any recommendations or any speakers I should stay away from? Any input would be great. Thanks!

i just finished replacing everything but the bass this last weekend. i put four 6.5 infinity kappa 63.9I's and the tweets were replaced with infinity kappy 10.9T. let me tell ya, HUUUGEE difference over the stock infinity's. treble comes out crystal clear. mids are amazing and if you keep the -3dB pressed on the 6.5's, you get quite a bit of extra base. now stock radio head is as loud on 16 as it used to be on 22/23.

pretty easy replacement for the most part. the driver side speaker takes a little finess and you'll need a dremel for the tweeters to fit just about all new ones. they say the stocks are one inch but i will be the first one to tell you they are not. they are smaller than that. all together for four speakers and tweets was right around 200ish shipped from online car stereo.com stuff on there is much cheaper than crutchfield and typically has the same products.

hope this helps and happy hunting

Front speakers are kinda a pain to replace. They make some speakers that are 100% easy replacement- but you can get any 6 1/2 speaker to fit with splicing wire/ buying adapters. What you buy depends on the quality you want. Best thing to do is get some quality component speakers and replace the speaker and tweeter. But that would only be used to its potential if you have a new Headunit or a 4 ch amp. It's addicting.

it is addicting. now that i have all this extra power in the sound i want to throw some more bass in becuase the 6.5 inch stock just doesnt cut it. im thinking about cutting a custom box together to throw a 10'' in. id like to conserve the space and go 8'' but there isnt going to be that "umph" in there without the 10. will prob run an entirely new amp dedicated to just to the bass too.

Polk audio db6501's! you just have to file the tweeter pod a little but it looks cleaner than factory and sounds great for the price. they are component speakers..

Depends on how you want it to sound. Do you want it real loud? Good sound quality? A lot of bass?
