Default Front speakers

Im getting ready to upgrade my front and roll bar speakers. I read somewhere that you need to take dash apart to replace front. Is this true? What all is involved to do this? Thanks

I just replaced my front and rear speakers in my 2008 JK. The soundbar pair are simple. The front are a little more involved. I used the post here on the site as a guide. Im not very handy and I was able to do it. Not that bad.

The passenger side is easy. The drivers side is harder. It can be done, it is just frustrating.
