Headlight Adjustment after lift

I am getting flashed allot using lowbeams after the lift. High beams are doing a great job of lighting the trees 20' above the road.

Who in the group has adjusted their headlights after a lift? I have to look at it tomarrow and aim the headlights. :eek2:

I've heard just about everyone say that it needs to be done, but have yet to heard a single person say they've done it. I get flashed a lot at stock so it'll only get worse after a lift. I figure screw them...I just flash them back. I'm assuming most people feel the same way. :) :yup:

Adjustable Torx screw, 10 o'clock position on passenger side headlight, 2 o'clock position drivers side. Counter clockwise lowers beam. With my 4.5" lift and 35" tires, It took about 3 1/2 turns.

I'll be getting 35s installed on Friday so I am going to wait until then to readjust my headlights ;)

I was wondering who would post on the double meaning. I should have known that it would be toad. :yup:

I think it's safe to say after reading many of Toad's posts over the past 6 months... That she wins the "DIRTIEST MIND OF JK FORUM" prize. :yup:

3. adjust your lights so that the top of your beam is around the 36 inch mark.
4. profit.

Wow... That's the best answer I've seen for this yet. :yup:

Succinct and to the point. (wait, did I just say the same thing twice?)

But, this really puts it into laymans terms. Why 36" though?

bobzinger Apr 11, 2008 06:06 PM

Wow... that was really simple.

Still wondering about the 36" though. I got the bottom of the beam lined up on the 36" mark. I first tried top of the beam at the 36" mark but on the test drive, they seemed to low. I'll try this out for a bit and adjust if I need to... its easy enough.
