Default headlight upgrade problem

My Jeep is giving me fits and I could use some fresh thinking. ’07 JK Unlimited. I replaced the stock (piece of crap) headlights with a Susquehanna harness, Hella E-codes and Osram 70/65 lamps about a year ago. Plug-N-play – ZERO problems and real lighting - until about two months ago. Had a problem with the horn randomly going off, so Jeep replaced one of the computers that had a short in it. Now when you turn on the headlights, they will only burn for about 5 seconds, then turn off for about a second – back on for 3 or 4 seconds, then turn off for about 2 seconds – back on for a second or so, then off –staying off. Hit the high beams and all this repeats again. You then have to turn the Jeep off and re-start, which then starts this pattern over again – very inconvenient. Pulled the Hella bulbs off and plugged the factory headlights back into the factory harness. Works fine – no problems, just like new. So I left in the driver’s side factory light – hooked to the factory harness, but put the Hella back in the passenger’s side (running the Susquehanna harness). You guessed it – driver’s side factory works fine while passenger’s side Hella cuts in and out as described above. The relays are not ‘chattering’ as I have heard other people comment on. Any ideas and help appreciated. Sorry that this is so long . . .

Check your harness.
Somehow the connections got screwed and you're running off the OE power rather than battery power. Could be that your relays have shorted internally.

I'd give a shout to Susquehanna; they might spot you a new harness.
