-The JWs are better than IPFs; but have a severe cutoff, lack light on the low-sides, and are uber-expensive.
-The Trucklite LEDs suck even more ass than the other 2, even at 24v! Don't believe me, ask a service member who has deployed.
-The Euroefx HIDs are the best at light output. However, without an upgraded housing you will be blinding just about everyone else; as the stock housings are crap at containing the light (read: unfocused).
I like the truck lites I have been melting peoples faces and setting brush fires with them since I put them in. Plus they look sexy which might get you some poonannny

I just added a set of Hella driving lights to the front bumper and wired them so they come on only with the high beam headlights. Big improvement for low cost.

If you call six focused hotspots "sexy", than more power to you. However, I could just as easily duplicate the effect by duct-taping 6 Mini-Maglites together and shoving them in my headlight buckets.
From my experience with them, they suck ass! (and that's putting it nicely)

Here's a picture from Eddie's write-up on them:

There's a little too much ambient light in this photo to show just how bad (spotty) these lights are. However, you can still make out the distinct "hotspots" of the headlights.
Now, I have nothing against LEDs. I run them on my rig as well (auxiliary lighting). I just think that there needs to be a lot more effort (R&D) put into the optics of the light to "clean up" (evenly distribute) the beam so it is an effective headlight.

Any of you that have driven with the 24 volt version of these on the MRAP-Vs and MAT-Vs know EXCATLY what I'm talking about!

KC sells a big light you can just mount on your front bumper and wire into your headlights.

I put HID's in my headlights and with them adjusted for the lift I rarely get flashed. Although a lot of the light is wasted unlike with a projector housing. Still trying to find a good deal on one. Found one company that makes them for the JK but they wanted like 700 bucks

Also put the same temperature HID in my retrofitted Hella 500's. Great auxillary HID setup for dirt cheap and put 3000k hid's in my fog lights.

Try the HID conversion with ballast. Have them i mine and love it. Did the high low and fog lights. Had to adjust due to others flashing me. Dont buy the cheap kits they dont last.

Mabey its my lift or the hour I spent aiming them in my garage but I feel like I have a full spectrum out in front of me. They seem to be pissing people in cars off very effectivley as they have been giving me unpleasant feedback since I got them....and that my friends...makes me smile

Oh come on P! I can do that with just the flick of a couple switches.
