Default Headlights-Cool feature

Not sure if anyone else was aware of this feature, but I recently discovered that the headlights automatically turns off after ~30 seconds of shutting off the engine of the JK (while engine is still running, turn off ignition switch then turn off headlight switch)...Comes in handy when walking in unlit areas...

I almost wish mine didn't have it. I'm the guy with borderline OCD that will stand there and wait for them to go off so that I know the battery won't run down.

That said, if you turn the lights off before killing the engine they will stay off. I just forget sometimes.

Even if you leave the switch on, or the interior lights, they will automatically turn off after 5 minutes or so. So you needn't worry. However, if you are OCD, my tip won't help you at all.

I dont get why they dont have to Auto lights like a lot of other vehicles...even my shit box Kia had that. But then again our 07 Civic Si doesnt have the locks that open when you pull the interior handle...that bothers me more than anything after having them in the Jeep.

I love that feature, nice to make sure there are no critters in my garage (no doors on it) when I get home at night.

Can you make it last longer? It's easier to aim at things when they are lit up with headlights.

Srsly, can you make them stay on longer? By the time we all get out, and get are crap and get to the door, they go off and it's dark!
