Default Hella 500 help please.

Hi,

I am new so please take it easy if this is waaay off base, or simple. I am new to jeeps. Anyway, I picked up a 2012 2 door manual (rubicon) and was in the process wiring it up when I realized there wasn't an intutive way to get the switch wire through the firewall. I am not talking about bending a wire coat hanger and poking it though a hole, I am not able to see where the wires need to go.

I was talking to the service guy at the dealer and he showed me how he wired his light switch through a rubber plugged hole by the upper driverside firewall. I guess the 6 speed has the clutch master clinder there. He took a look under the hood on my jeep and said "huh, good question." Granted, he spent about 3 mintues looking, but still. I'd rather ask the forum instead.

Thanks!

Matt

Depending on your needs, you could just wire them to the high beams and not worry about drilling the firewall.

There is a foam plug behind the glove box for this reason. Remove the glove box and you will see it. The foam can be bored out to enlarge the hole if needed. Run all the wires on the passenger side

There is a side dash panel right next to the passenger side door and it basically pops off and there is a nice sized hole I used to wire my KC lights. Plus it leads right to the battery.
