hella lights
I just got some Hella 500 driving lights and am questioning which wire goes to ground on the back of the light....there's a blue and a black tail...I assumed the black because my old hella lights that came on the truck have the black to ground BUT i went to the Hella web sight and found a picture of a different style of there lights and it seems to be the blue SOOOO anybody know for sure?????

Not with out doing a little searching. It should only be two wires though and if my thinking is correct (don't count on it)...most of the power wires in the JK have stripes instead of solid colors.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Black is power in the instructions that came with my 500FF lights, and I'd how I have them wired up to the relay power out. Blue is negative and is grounded to the frame.

I just did an install of these same lights (The "anniversary" pack offered on Q-tec).
Be sure to double check the relay-- mine had the yellow and black wires reversed from the factory. It took me a while to figure out the problem on what was to be a simple hi-beam (no cab switch) install. I tapped into the White & Gray wire on the passenger side headlamp. They work fine now, but it drove me nuts!
As for the Blue/Black wire, just take the light apart and check. That's the only way to be sure. There is a reason Hellas are more economical: no quality control! I'm happy with mine.. I may have saved money, but I sure spent a lot of time!
