Default Help with the firewall

I am starting the install bass I stall today and need a safe place to run 00 gauge power wire from the battery which is inconveniently on he passenger side. There doesn't seem to be a place to run anything thru the firewall on that side. On the drivers side however, there is a sticky maybe rubbery grommet. Anyone know if this serves a purpose? I don't wanna rip it out If so. Some reason tho, I'm guessing it's a big open hole for this purpose, runnin wires through for lights and wenches and whAt not. Just wanting some approval before I go cuttin... It's the black circle.

Those of u who have sound systems, where did u run your powerwire?

You have an automatic transmisison. That hole is for the Clutch. You can also run the wire through the passenger side. You just have to be VERY careful.

There is a large wiring harness that goes through the firewall above the passenger kick panel. There is a boot on the inside and another boot on the outside. If you very carefully cut the outside of the boot away from the wiring you can make a large hole to pass wires through.

It can get tricky when you are first pushing the wire through. When it is between the boots it can miss the hole in the other boot and just wind around in there. A pencil or short wooden dowel can be used to guide the wire through.

Got the sound system all hooked up and bumpin... It's STUPID loud.
-I'd like to add that this is temporary, just wanted a quick setup for an event in my city this weekend. Thus eventually, I'll rebuild the box to give myself more room (and just 1 sub as opposed to 2)
