ALRIGHTY, well I got in and running. Everything works great. It's in a temporary position until I figure out a good location for everything. I guess the problem I had was I just needed someone to tell me "yes, you can do that" I'm a baby, when it comes to my baby....

I don't want the compressor to be able to drain the battery. I would like to install everything as suggested. Plus there wasn't any wire supplied with the kit unless I'm supposed to cut up the power line going from the battery to the pressure switch.

This is getting frustrating.
I'm have the same problem where did you tap in to the ignition at?? & do you have pic.?

I couldn't figure it out....its connected directly to the battery. I just have to remember not to leave it on. Which honestly is thaaaat hard. I'm in the process of building a custom switch panel and I will need to find the ignition wire then.

Can anyone help us find this wire?

I installed my on board air. I didn't want to lose any space in the cargo area, & the tank was to big to mount under the jeep. So I fabricated a bracket to mount the tank over my winch on the front bumper. I mounted the compresser under the hood with the ONE OFF FABRICATION bracket

Default Here's what to use for the ignition wire:

You should have two power outlets (cigarette lighters) on your center console. The one on the left is wired to the ignition, the one on the right is wired to directly to the battery. If you want it to work only when the key is on then use the wire from the one on the left.

I sure am glad it worked out.

There are some wiring diagrams available on our website.
http://www.viaircorp.com/OffRoad/support2.html

You'll also notice plumbing diagrams and a FAQ section that might address some of the issues you run into.

I highly recommend that you use the relay and pressure switch so that the pressure switch powers the relay ONLY when the engine is running.

VIAIR compressors need 13.8 volt to run properly. The compressor can operate with only 12volts but if you forget to turn on the engine when you start the compressor or if you spring a leak, the compressor is going to turn on by itself and drain the battery. As the battery drains the voltage drops and the amp draw spikes, which leads to handful of other problems like blown fuses, bad pressure switches or even overloaded compressors.

If you're not sure how thick of a wire to use, check this website out to help determine which AWG you should use.

Hope this helps.
