Default Help! No Brake Lights, All other lights working

Hey All,

Thanks in advance for checking out this thread. I just got my car back from the shop and my brake lights aren't working. I checked tons of jeep forums and figured id try what they recommended before i posted here. All lights work except brake lights, even the third brake light. Jeep is a 2010 2dr JK

What I've done:
Change brake light switch above brake pedal
Checked and cleaned connections
No need to change bulbs (I have ANZO L.E.D. taillights)
Checked fuses(atleast the ones i think are connected to the brake lights)

I have a superchips flashcal, and the codes thrown were:
B16B1 Left stop lamp control circuit high
B16B5 Right stop lamp control circuit high

Any help would be awesome! My jeeps been in the shop for over 2 months (backordered parts) and i finally got it back, but with no brake lights. Just want my baby working well again.

THANKS!

Try a reset, disconnect the battery and wait minute and hook back up and see if you get codes then. put the stock bulb back in and see if that change it too ...

So no luck with resetting the system by disconnecting the battery. Still no brake lights. Tried my buddies jeep wrangler and his stock tail lights had the same issue on my jeep. All lights work except the 2 side brake lights. The third brake light works.

Any other suggestions? Im at a loss here

Try regular bulbs. Or give the bulbs a half turn. Many of the led bulbs can be put in wrong giving the wrong polarity. Check the wiring, not sure what work you had done but look for pinched or cut wires. Check fuse and relays?

He said he tried his friend's stock tail light assemblies with same results.

The left and right brake lights have no fuses or relays. The 3rd brake light does have a fuse. It's good, though, as you said the 3rd brake light is working. It's hard wired to the battery; no computer involved in the circuit.
Each brake light has its own feed from the TIPM. They may have a common ground at the rear of the Jeep, though. With a multi-meter, check the sockets for ground.
Do you have the trailer tow wire harness? If so, the problem could be there.

Do your brake lights behave the same with the ignition ON and OFF?

What exactly was your jeep in the shop for? Hopefully they didn't cut or splice into the main wiring Harness

I don't have a trailer tow harness, and the brakes behave the same with the ignition on or off. I'm stumped. No clue where to go from here.

the JK was in the shop after i lost control in the snow and smacked my drivers side rear quarter into a barrier pole. They had to replace the driver side rear quarter panel, hard top and tailgate.
