Help Wiring HID's using Factory Fog Wiring
I recently installed an XRC front bumper and have 4" HID's to put on it. I would like to use the factory fog wiring & stalk switch. I tried wiring directly and got the flash 4 times and shut off business.
I just bought wire, 30 amp relay, etc. Here's my question:
Which factory fog wire do I use for the relay? There is a white/yellow on the right fog and a white/orange on the left one. Also, what do I do with the wire that I don't use?
Thanks.

I have 2- 35w HIDs hooked up to my factory fog light wiring with no additional relay. They spike at 14a and go down to about 7a. They don't pull much, if any over the stock fogs. I just stuck the pins that came with the hid kit into the stock fog connector and sealed it. Works just fine.
You need to power switch a relay if you want to use one. Use a multimeter or test light to see which fog light wire is hot when on to trigger the relay. The other, just tape up.

I've got the XRC front bumper and got to looking at the location of the mounting holes for the lights and am wondering if the 4" HID will clear if a winch is installed? Looks like the back of the light is a tight fit.
