HID kits for fog lights

Will putting HID's in the fog lights melt the housing or should it be ok? Thanks for the feedback in advance

I ordered an hid kit from hidextra.com, I bought the 3000k option and they have yet to damage my housings or anything for that matter.
The lights works flawlessly just get the canbus system and you don't need the additional harness

what size bulb did you use for your fogs?

They won't melt. IIRC the bulb is H10. I have a pair of 55w 4.3k (my guess, given the color - I ordered 5k) in my fogs. Used to ALWAYS put the fogs on, now there is too much light. When it is bad - they are amazing. But they are definitely for use in bad weather only.

I just installed a DDM HID 35W headlight kit and they work great, but now the fogs look yellow in comparison so I'd like to either order another kit for the fogs or a set of good LED's to color match. From what I've been reading the H16 kit with a little trimming works on my JK (12) but I wanted to do a little more research before I pulled the trigger.
