I think you could cut out some of the foam to fit something larger or make this one sit more flush, I just didn't want to cut anything in case it didn't work. This unit happens to fit perfectly between two of the wire supports keeping the seat together.
I have the speaker facing out towards back of the vehicle. When I first did it, I was worried all the sound would be lost when I had the top down, but this isn't the case at all. I've driven around top down and doors off and it still sounds great. It doesn't sound muffled to me, it sounds deep and rich, then again, I'm not an audio expert and I've never run some of the high end systems people run on this forum. I like mods like my women: cheap and easy

I see that you did over a year ago. Do you still have the same set up? How is the sound now compared to when you first got it? I’m thinking about getting the same sub.
