I don't remember where I saw it on here but someone wanted a led light bar and didn't want to spend the 1500 dollars , so they got a led lightbar with all clear leds and kept it on the steady flash pattern. If I find it ill post it.
I remember seeing that too but can't find the thread. I did pm that guy when I saw that setup asking what kind it was though...Whacker is the manufacturer and Instigator 8 head LED Warning light. He mounted it on the top of a Rugged Ridge Windshield Lightbar. I think the lightbar costs around $300. I have checked into it for my setup but have decided not to get it just yet.
Well I finally got my siren speaker mounted. It is the Galls brand low-profile 100W speaker. I used the bracket it came with, just had to get a few stainless bolts to mount it to the chassis. It is on the drivers side tucked up behind the bumper. All the wires are pulled away from any moving chassis components.
I might have to paint it black to hide it better though.

Actually its quite loud. There is a pretty large gap between the bumper and the face of the speaker.
Im not a sound engineer, but I think the speaker throws the sound into the curve of the bumper then it just escapes out the top bottom and side.
Plus its basically out in the open, so there are less other components to absorb the energy vs. if I had it mounted under the hood.

What color LEDs did you use for the rear, the Galls catalog says the LED color needs to match the OEM light color?
Also what brand are yours?
[QUOTE=broccoli2;2776270]Finally done.
Pick of rear housing with one red flash head, no trimming needed if you put it in the middle
Attachment 260920
Rear Flasher video. Could only get 1 side with they way it was parked

I just mounted my Hide-a-ways in the tail lights almost the same as yours. They look great, but I have a question.
The drivers side has easy access out the bottom for the wires. The passenger side is a closed in box, how did you run your wires? I see they could be run through the factory grommet above, but where does that lead after it is out of the taillight compartment?
Any help would be great!

Just wanted to update anyone following this thread.
I finally got my rear hide-a-ways mounted and wires ran. No photos but I can explain:
Strobes were mounted same as Brocolli2 center of inboard side of taillights.
I ran the wires up through under the carpet. Basically followed the factory harness, just below the landing flange for the hartop. The two wires came together in the center of the rear seat, where I attached and extension. I then ran this extension up through the rocker panel and under the dash to my switches.
