How to pull out Pioneer Unit

Anyone have any advice on how to pull this out and pop it back in? I just need to add a USB to Lightning cable in the back, I don't have the Pioneer radio removal keys for it. Thanks!

PS if theres another way to access the back without pulling it out I can try that as well...

Any local audio installer or best buy will have the keys and I'm sure they wouldn't mind pulling it out for you. I've got the keys in my tool box, I think.

On my pioneer there are no keys, you pull off the dash trim and those black spacers are screwed in to the sides of the head unit

Ahh thanks! In NY so im out of luck for going somewhere to have it done at the moment (all the audio stores are closed)

Is there an easy way to pull of the dash trim? i've pulled on it a bit feels like it might pop off, just don't want to break it, thanks!

Sorry mate just saw this. Mine's an 08 so the teardown is a little different but should basically be the same. Start by taking off the top part where i believe there is a coin holder on yours. Use a screwdriver (or some type of plastic pry bar if you don't want to ding your stuff) and start from the side closest to the windshield. Pop that up and slide it forward, there is a retaining lip on the front side. Once that is off the rest of the front panel should all held in by clips along the side and pull right out. Again, I would use something thin to pry at the points where it's fastened in so you don't crack your trim. Once you get going it's a pretty easy-peasy process.

Thanks so much everyone, that's exactly what I did, got back there easily and added the USB.

I ran HDMI and USB extenders into my glove box when I installed my head just in case i ended up needing them in the future so I didn't have to keep tearing my stuff apart. Glad you got it solved mate!
