Being the first is one thing, but I'm not sure hackers will go after vehicles very much. Seems to be too much effort for small to no reward. Took them a year to hack the first one. Personal/credit card information is much more valuable.

I agree. Thought of it in terms of a strategic terror attack on traffic.
