Default Installed after market tweeters

I was only unhappy with the sound (or lack there of) from the factory tweeters and it was recommended to me by SCRubi to use these Infinity kappa tweeters which I purchased on ebay. I am really pleased with the added sound from these tweets. It made a big difference.

This was a very simple installation to do. I had to obviously remove the factory grill that covered the
stock tweeter and do a little more grinding.

Default Do you have Sirius?

The crappy quality of music on Sirius has been discussed before. Do you have it? If so, does this help?

Scott I think your right about the music on the Sirius although I hadn't read that before. I thought it was just because I have tweeters in the crotch of my door windows on my F350 and I was used to more highs. There is no doubt in my mind that the factory tweeters were either lacking something of these are far more superior. To answer your question-“does this help?” Yes We listened to a variety of music on my job site (all Sirius) this week and It sounded terrific. I was most impressed because I had the windows down and the doors closed and the highs still sounded great. One of my employees even commented how he could hear the highs reflecting off a near by pool house. He didn’t know I had installed the new tweeters.

oZmonkey, I didn’t realize there was a difference in the factory tweeters But I assume mine was all the factory infinity stuff since I purchased the Mygig premium sound system.

I'm guessing you don't have the infinity sound system? Because I think it sounds great and I am usually the first one to gut and upgrade a factory sound system.

I have the Infinity system, and FM and CD sound much better than Sirius. I don't want to hijak this thread, I was just wondering if this mod helps.
BTW, there's been a bunch of discussion over in the Electronics section if anyone's interested. Just search "Sirius sound quality".

Squid No mine is the infinity system. I doubt the Mygig comes without the infinity system anyway. It could be that your system may be tuned differently than mine or perhaps we simply have different taste when it comes to how music sounds.

I added a second set of these in the sound bar for the rear passengers. It looks pretty cool and again sounds great back there.
