I installed my basslink about 6 months ago, and I love it. I did like the book said and hooked up both the front and rear speaker level inputs from behind the HU. It has toooooo much sound that way without using the controller thingy that came with it. I use that thing and it gives me the ability to turn it down and up from the dash. There IS less sound from the stock X radio in the rear speakers. If I unhook the inputs from the rear at the basslink it gets quieter, but if I unhook the front and hook up the rear, it is a lot quieter. I just hook them both up and use the controller to lessen the bass. Seems to be better quality that way. Eventually I'll get a new HU and then it will actually give me the sound I paid for out of the speakers I installed in the dash and sound bar too. Same speakers in dash and sound bar, and the dash ones sound great, sound bar sounds like crap. I hate the stock HU. :( The Basslink is a great addition though. I put it behind the rear seat driver side. That way, if I have to lower the rear seat to haul stuff I can lower the bigger side, and put things flat on the floor and not on top of my speaker.

I've done it once, I'll do it again. How did you install it, Exactly? Do you still have access to the cargo tub? How did you bolt it down? Pictures would be great...

I'll try to get pics of the front speaker wire connections as soon as I can. Until then, it's really easy...just look up under the dash on each side next to the speaker that's in the dash, you'll see the plug with 2 wires going into the speaker housing. That's the wires that I tapped into, meaning I cut them apart and added the speaker wire that's running to the Basslink then connected them all back together with connectors and taped it.

On another note, cargo tub access is now denied.....not much of a way around it that I can see. I can still get in there if I need to, just a little more difficult because of the Basslink being attatched to the cargo tub cover.
