Default Installing factory fog lights

My 08 jeep did not come with factory fog lights. I ordered some (http://www.quadratec.com/products/97047_1001.htm) and installed them yesterday over at a buddy's house. After we were done, I jump in the jeep to see if they worked. I knew the actually lights would not work because I need to get the computer flashed at the dealer. But I had a couple other electrical problems:

My engine light came on...this should go off when they flash the computer?

When I turn the left signal on, the left fog light flashes. The right turn signal works fine.

The temperature gauge does not work. The temperature gauge that tells the temp outside.

Should these issue resolve when the dealer flashes the computer?

Can't help you w/ the first 2 questions but the 3rd I can.

When the dealer flashed my computer the 1st time for the fog lights the temp sensor went out of calibration. They told me it would fix itself. It never did, it actually caused my engine light to turn on because of the mis-calibrated temp sensor. I ended up taking it back and having them re-flash to fix the temp. sensor and have not had any lights or problems since.

Well, my wiring was nothing like on the diagram that came with the instructions. The wires were in a different spot and I think a couple were color coated different. I finally figured out which wire went were by trial and error. The gauge that tells the temp outside works in the evening but not in the morning....(that is throwing me for a loop)....but it worked this morning on the way to work....so maybe it fixed itself. I still have that little engine light that comes on in the dash...thinking that will go off when I get it flashed.
