Default iPhone/GPS placement Question

So I'm trying to figure out a way to mount my iPhone in my Jeep so I can use the GPS on it without it sitting in a cup holder and me looking down as necessary. Any options would help please! Oh the other problem is I've got the jack to the stereo on one end and my power plug on the other end. I need help here!

I'm guessing you mean something cheaper than the new TomTom window mount thingy?

Some people have made/ bought mounting plates that attach next to the radio behind the center trim panel and attached cell phone holders to them.

Do a search for "phone mount" or "CB mount" and you should come up with a few if them.

I ordered a glass mount for mine through dealextreme.com - I got both a charger and the holder for under $10.

I find that the flexible stalk vibrates a bit though as I'm driving around, making the display hard to look at without taking all concentration off the road.

For navigation purposes, I find that my Nuvi and its glass mount work much better than the iPhone.

I went with the Bracetron from Quadratec. I use it for my GPS but it's adjustable and will hold an iphone. I will post up a pic when I get home since the work computer blocks the site, or you can look it up on photobucket under azguardchef.

i use the Griffin - $29 from Apple

you get a window mount shown and a sticky mount. The phone does not budge ever and you see a lot more screen than the others (Narrow Bezel looks as if it is floating)
