Default An issue and a question

All of the sudden in the last week my Bluetooth has started to drop the connection constantly on my Uconnect-130/RES (satellite). For six months it basically worked fine, if you can tolerate the crappy design, but once it connected it would play. But now it drops like after a few minutes. Anyone else had this happen?

On a slightly related note, does anyone have a pinout for the rear connectors on the 130/RES? Or more specifically, is there a redundant AUX input on the rear even if it's embedded in one of the connectors? I might choose to add in a 3rd party bluetooth audio device and I'd prefer to hide it behind the dash. Running it in the console with an AUX cable up to the head unit is not gonna work for me.

iPhone or Android?

I know my Android would occasionally get an AT&T security update that would cause what you're describing.

I think this is the RES unit you're referring too. Shows a pic of the rear so may help with your second question

It's Android, but there have been no changes to the phone. I know, because it's rooted and I installed the ROM myself about a year ago and it has not changed. It won't get any OTA updates.

I can't see how the head unit would have been updated, except maybe if they decided to reflash it while it was in for warranty service even though that was totally unrelated to the service.

Yeah, thanks for that link. I saw it, and I wish it had more info on what signal was on that center connector. I guess I am going to have to pull the HU and check for myself.
