Default Jeep is dead

This morning when I tried to crank my Jeep she sounded like the battery was dead then the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Bells and whistles went off and then it went dark and silent. Tried the switch again and now the bells wouldn't stop so I unhooked the battery. Did my computer take a dump?

Nope. Your battery is shot. Get a new battery and you will be back on the road

You should try taking a wire brush to the terminals and the cable connections first. Might be a simple fix (had it happen to me before).

It was the battery. I had it tested and it was shot. Never had the dash go all crazy like that on any car when the battery died. Back in business now. Thanks

I feel your pain. It seems once the battery goes below a threshold, the computer makes darn well sure that it's dead. Awesome software in these things.
